As I categorize myself as a light worker, it is my responsibility to love all of humankind. To support the healing efforts of my neighbors, neighborhood, city, town, state and planet. I am not at all alone in this great responsibility. Being kind and understanding and sending love to all to all is paramount in this mission. Universal love is not always easy, when someone cuts you off in traffic, or rips you off, etc. but I remind myself to practice it all the time. I suppose if you are a saint or a tsadik then it is simple.
So how to separate universal love and individual/personal love? Therin lies the really big challenge. When a friend takes too much, when you give but don't receive, when your status as a friend or family member is abused?
The conclusion that I have recently come to: Let the person that you love (personal love) go. Move them into the universal love category. Wish them well. Support them in a universal sense. Just because we are light workers does not mean that we should accept abuse of our love. Yet, we also have a responsibility to love. So change the love abuser's category. Disconnect on a personal level and keep connected on a universal level. When you feel their pains, just send them love. No need to pick up the phone...just imagine that person in front of you and send them a beam of light from your heart. Then release them.
If anyone out there has other suggestions, I'll take it!
